Ms. Virgie wasn’t just a stylist, she was a force of nature. As the founder of COSMET-ED Continuing Education Institute and Crenshaw Foster Care Association, she revolutionized haircare, mentored generations, and tested tools that shaped the modern beauty industry.

Since the 1960s, Vergee’s Palace has stood tall at 4900 Crenshaw Blvd. Our family not only operates the salon, but we also own the land it stands on. Through civil rights eras, fashion eras, and family eras, our doors remained open.
